Hot Topic #1: Draft Orders

Mobilearth Draft orders

As many of you may already know, we recently launched an enhancement for Draft Orders.  When a customer fills out the draft order and submits it, the draft order gets approved by employees (or approved automatically) and sent to an external payment processing centre (please note that Mobilearth does not do the posting). This is an enhancement to the current manual process and an optional upgrade for those banks not part of the original pilot group.

Hot Topic #2: Text Channel

When the customer is out and about, the quickest and most convenient way to access their banking is to use the text channel. The customer can pay bills, get account balances and history, pay peers and get additional information from the banks--all through text messaging (SMS).

Additionally, banks can also set up as many customized Text Me alerts as they like. These alerts can offer more information to the customers such as exchange rates, ongoing contests, hours of operation and so much more. The list of possibilities is endless.

Marketing Banners

Last month we offered assistance with marketing banners and we are continuing the offer this month as well. Our team of designers can assist with the design of these marketing banners so that you can upload and use them on the web banking and app. If you prefer to do this on your own, we would like to share some design pointers that may help you with your design:

  1. Make sure the image you are using has good resolution and isn't skewed or distorted.

  2. Keep the message short and simple (remember, less is more).

  3. There should be a visual hierarchy; make the most important information stand out first (a test you can do is to close your eyes and when you open them, what is the first thing that draws your attention?)

  4. Use a call-to-action such as "Call now", "Sign up" or "Try" etc.

  5. Use a good font type; sans-serif fonts usually work well for web designs.

Hopefully this is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. Please contact gomobile@mobilearth.com.

Tip of the Month: Customer Maintenance

Customer Maintenance isn't only about adding and updating customers' personal information, it can do other things as well--like manage accounts, set posting limits, see pending transactions, set alerts, manage payments, set up peers, change passwords, view orders and review activity logs.

Ensure your customer's contact information is up to date. For example, if their email address or phone number is wrong, this may cause them to not receive alerts. Also, the mobile number on file has to be correct in order for any text commands to work.

About Mobilearth

Mobilearth has always been forward-thinking and puts the user experience first. With technology constantly evolving, Mobilearth plans to implement new technologies and features as they emerge.

“At Mobilearth, we understand that life is mobile and that customers should be able to perform all of their banking anywhere with the tap of a button. As physical locations dwindle away, adding MobiBranch enables institutions to have a virtual branch in any location at any time, which saves money and improves customer service.”

- Tia Lee, CEO, Mobilearth

The success of the Mobile Banking and MobiBranch product suite has grown Mobilearth’s clientele to include those in Canada, United States, Central America, South America and the Caribbean region. The addition of the Bank of Montserrat adds another indigenous Caribbean Bank to their roster.
